someone call me and we’ll jowl for the camera:

i was thinking to shave my head, but then will it make my already bulbous head seem way out of control? maybe some feedback or opinions?
i’m just glad i don’t have a hairyback to contend with like this guy:
Happy Labor Day!
he sees mom and dad drink mass quantities of espresso and he wanted in on the action. its only one shot of espresso, i figure he can start small.
kidding. don’t call cps on me or anything.
liz sent me this…i am still trying to figure it out. maybe the taste is so strong that it’s like a kick in the balls? or maybe it’s the preferred food of latex bodysuit-wearing androids? Very curious.
happy friday everyone!
i finally bought my mac mini so i can start playing around the video stuff. final cut pro for the intel isn’t released so i’ll just get to know the machine and maybe use imovie or something like that. the thing is so tiny and quiet that i don’t even know it’s there. performance is reasonable – although i think i might get a faster hard drive than the 5400rpm unit that’s in there now.
i gotta get alyssa started on her pitching too – tryouts for the jv team are just a few months away. i’m going to call gina, the pitching coach, this weekend to get her started. we might pitch for a few days this weekend to get her arm up strengthened up before we meet up with the coach.
i think the picture is a few weeks old but look how many teeth he’s got. i’m working this weekend so i can have labor day off. i guess that’s good and bad. then on sunday, i’m playing 18 holes with the boyz – finally! it’s been like 6 months since my last competitive golf round but deep cliff is a good place to come back since it’s two 9-hole par-3 courses jammed together.
so, i think it’s time to begin posting again. after getting out of the hospital, i think i’ve had to catch up for the last 6 months. things are calming down a little now that softball season is over and we’re clearing out the to-do list a little. by the time i got back to the blog, i realized that a few posts are missing, but i only have one reader anyway, so whatever.
i’m at work today till midnight covering a shift for one of our australian guys. i had a couple beers today at the art and wine festival so even a small nap might be in order.
i posted my pics to the photo website, but if you don’t have access to that, then Becky posted her pics here. My favorite of all of them is Ozzie saving a memory of the scantily-clad belly dancer (at least I hope it’s the belly dancer and not Leyla) for later use:
Senator Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) said some interesting things about the Internet during the recent hearings on net neutrality:
“I just the other day got, an internet was sent by my staff at 10 o’clock in the morning on Friday and I just got it yesterday. Why?”
“Because it got tangled up with all these things going on the internet commercially…”
“They want to deliver vast amounts of information over the internet. And again, the internet is not something you just dump something on. It’s not a truck.”
“It’s a series of tubes.”
“And if you don’t understand those tubes can be filled and if they are filled, when you put your message in, it gets in line and its going to be delayed by anyone that puts into that tube enormous amounts of material, enormous amounts of material.”
Here’s the full story
i spent some time in the last week to move the picture library from skoshe.com to doylez.com. what a task. the skoshe.com is up for renewal in the next few months so i thought it would be a good time to get rid of that domain and stick with doylez.com and an unnamed private domain for the home network. you can visit the new photo website here. i stuck with the kubrick theme since both pivot and coppermine both have that prebuilt, although I’m going to start fiddling with it a little more here and there.
stay tuned for more postings!
